TRAINING AND EXAM: “CERTIFIED FORMALITIES OFFICER”

Organizing a training program with a corresponding exam was one of the founding missions of the Platform in 2009 and remains one of our core responsibilities today.

Exam

The Platform organizes the “Certified Formalities Officer” exam annually.
The exam is created by our Examination Committee.
Candidates who pass the exam receive a “Certified Formalities Officer” certificate. This certificate is co-signed by the Dutch Institute of Patent Attorneys and is a valuable credential for both the Formalities Officer and their employer.

Training

To prepare for the exam, it is recommended to take a course that covers all essential aspects of Intellectual Property. It is not mandatory to take the course, if you want to take the exam.

DeltaPatents B.V. organizes the course under the umbrella of the European Intellectual Property Education Foundation (EIPEF). Lessons are taught by instructors with many years of experience in the field.
